Carte Blanche vs. Two Fools and a Bull

I know these restaurants are a similar concept, but can anyone tell me the real differences between the two. Is one more laid back, is the food different, clientele, pricing, etc. Will probably dine at only one on our next trip and trying to find the best match for us. Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks.

We've been to both several times and you can't go wrong with either one! 2 Fools is more laid back since you start out mingling on the back patio with a glass of champagne and carry on your conversations throughout dinner if you want to like one big dinner party. At CB you only really talk to those sitting next to you (if you want to.) Food is great at both but I give a slight edge to CB for a tad (but just a TAD) more creativity with flavors. I've loved every course I've had at both places. The pricing is similar at both. Go hungry - it was alot of food for me since I'm not used to eating a full dessert after dinner.

Thanks Amy. As for the wine pairing. Can you choose to only have some or is it all or nothing?

When we went to Carte Blanche it was all or nothing on the wine pairings with one set price for the wine pairings for the evening. At 2 Fools they post that night's menu on a tall blackboard and with each course they show the wine they've chosen and the price per glass. So if there is a wine you know you won't like or one you want more of, just say the word since they charge per glass and you don't have to get each wine pairing if you don't want to. Both places also have a full bar (and I think some beer) if you want something else to drink.

That is good to know about 2 Fools (if we decide to drive, one of us can be the designated driver) :-)

This is really the ideal way to do wine pairings-- by the glass. Pay for what you choose to partake and skip the others.

Our last wine dinner with pairings here at home had the wine included in the price. Dh was driving so drank sparingly. I ended up drinking my 5 glasses plus 2 1/2 of his... Too good to waste, but a bit more than I would usually drink.

Good point lewny about the designated driver. It is good to know one can opt out and drink only a glass of wine or 2 at a per glass rate at 2 fools.

CB does have a regular wine list, too, so if you don't want to do their wine pairings you can still just order a glass of wine from their regular list.

2 fools is located in the hi rise area. to the best of my memory it is a little red building.
is it on palm beach road across from barneys? i am drawing a blank.

carte blanche is located at the Bucuti resort.

now is not too early to make a reservation. very limited seating at both.
