We will be there on May 9th for a week, our 6th year, and we have never been to Charlies! My husband is reading "An Island Away" right now and I am taking it to Aruba for beach/pool side reading (with a pina colada in my other hand of course).
Anyway...we would love to go to Charlies but don't really want to rent a car. Any other way to get there? I know we could take a cab. any idea on the price from LaCabana area to San Nicolas?

Not sure..imagine the bus goes out that way, you may have to transfer at some point...but my suggestion would be a cab ride...consider contacting Bully as he may be able to take you out and then pick you up at a predetermined time....either way it is a must go....especially once you've read 44's book....It was great !!!!!!

Wife and I took the bus, actually two buses, Hotels to Orangestad, then to St. nichols. It was fun, we got off with in a block or two of Charlies, had a few beers and took a van/bus back. it was a good adventure.

I bought Daniel's book for Christmas, but when some of my hubby's gifts didn't arrive in time, I gave him the book instead. Now I plan on reading it during our trip also. I can't wait. This will be our 1st time going to Charlies Bar also. We'll be going after my friends arrive May 14. Hope you have a great trip Connie.
