    Cheap eats?

Hello everyone. Just booked a trip t Aruba and should be there next week.. cant wait! Now, as Im planning a few more details I wonder if anyone can provide some input about "cheap eats" in the island.
We are total beach bums... not much else. We are not foodies, and enjoy a variety of cuisines (only thing to avoid is places like BBQ and ribs as we are not meat eaters - but still eat seafood and chicken) so it would be great to hear from others about their recommendations.

    Many thanks!

welcome to the aruba.com community forum.
beach bumming is LOTS of fun and many of us are like you.
for many of us, it is all about the beach and the fun and the food is not a top priority.

here are some tagged inexpensive restaurant threads http://www.aruba.com/forum/tags/rest...expensive.html
be aware though that some of these trads are old and maybe some of the restaurants have come and gone.

    where are you staying?
i recommed for good chicken and fish............... barneys, ricardos, Lindas, islander grill @ lacabana, scott's brats, red fish, buccaneer, and fabulous chinese at hung paradise.

there is an awesome food truck at around noon weekdays inbetween lacabana and paradise beach villas!

there are many others too....lots will reply.

Welcome to the Aruba.com Community Forum!

That food truck Andrea mentioned is amazing and very inexpensive. There is also Matthew's at Casa del Mar & Ricardo's at Aruba Beach Club with good pricing.

Welcome to the forum! If you are staying in Palm Beach, cheap eats can be found at Bugaloe, Eduardo's, Scott's Brats, Pelican Pier, Carlito's and Moomba. All of these place are located on the beach and Pelican Nest and Bugaloe are on piers over the water.

Welcome. My wife can vouch for the food truck...she loved it. I would also add Dushi Bagel near the Playa Linda and Bugaloe on the pier as well.

Wow! Thanks a lot, guys! Quite some places to check out!

We will be staying in (or at?) Seroe Blanco, Oranjestad - but we will have a car during the entire trip, so that we can try different beaches and places. The plan is to spend the morning at one beach, get out for lunch and possibly try a different beach after lunch time. I was born and raised in the tropics but currently live in Canada, so each and every opportunity to toast under the sun is much appreciated.

    Danki!!!

The Pelicans Nest has grilled grouper with grilled veggies, rice and a roll for $21. It is on the pier between Holiday Inn and Playa Linda and you can park in the HI parking lot. Blossoms has excellent Chinese for under $20 and is located in the RIU Antilla and they have a big parking lot. Just tell the attendant you are going to Blossoms.
