another "local" restaurant, is the Old Fisherman
it is downtown, pretty close to the main bus depot.

we have not been there for years, maybe 5 or more.
we always liked the place and it is very traditional seafood dishes

Zeerovers 2.0 - lol... so we enjoyed it so much that we went back again today.... yummy shrimps and plantain!

I must say that food is not very expensive in this island... I know this comes down to personal expectations and reference (according to where one came from) but in general terms, I found food here to be AWESOME and quite affordable.

The most expensive meal I had was a dinner at Moomba Beach, where we chose an "all you can eat" bbq... $29.50 US per person for unlimited shrimp, chicken, fish, beef, etc... plus all the fixings. Excellent food, a great setting and still reasonable for what we ate there.
On the "really cheap" side, I think nothing beats Jack cafe for a really cheap lunch.. come on, $5.00 for a plate of very decent food? And I cant stop eating those yummy pastechis!
