I've only been to Aruba once before and stayed in an all-inclusive. Ventured out everyday, but forget the bars & restaurants we visited!

Staying at the Costa Linda resort in October. We're four adults who like the more casual type places, cheap beer, good bar food, fun atmosphere. Maybe a place for a nicer dinner one of the nights. But we don't want to break the bank on this trip, as I know from experience that Aruba is quite pricey. I know that we'll hit the grocery store and stock up on some food & drinks, but we're not looking to "save a buck" by eating in everyday.

Any suggestions for cheap eats? Any fun happy hour bars? Trying to find the best bets for cheap beers & good food.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

Hubby likes Busters garage, Hooters, Hard Rock, Iguana Joes, Smokey Joes, Casa Tua, Laugana buffet ( 19.99 theme nites), Plaza Cafe, Tomato Charlies, Bingos, Pam Pam, ....

Yes...."hubby" highly recommends Buster's for a fun night.....great sports bar. CindyO has to drag me to Hooters but, being a good husband, I go.

Plaza Cafe downtown is a very nice "cheap eat".

when we were in aruba a few years ago, we ate at hooter's about 6 times over the course of the week. that's the type of place we're looking for....cheap bar food & reasonably priced beer.

10 days to go! getting excited!!!

Inexpensive Restaurants

I love B-55 down beyond the airport.
go past the airport (airport on right)
follow that main road , also referred to as the highway.
across from the balashi plant at the set of lights turn left.
B-55 is up less than a 1/4 mile on the right.
Nothing much to look at as far as being "fancy" but boy is the food and great, prices reasonable and real laid back.
Terrific BBQ on Sunday afternoons.

Bugaloe, pier bar has a nice sunset, happy hour 5-6pm , free entertainment and good bar food. Best nights are tues night sunset and band joyride and wed. night has salsa band and free salsa lessons (fun) starting at 7pm. (located at depalm pier between Rui and Raddison hotel) Busters has a good happy hour and good nightly drink and food specials and finaly Moomba beach is a good beach bar with bar food and live bands friday and Sunday and sunday night is a good night with a dj after the band. Hope this helps

Linda's pancakes and pizza is pretty inexpensive and the food is excellent. Wacky Wahoos is also a nice restaurant that is not nearly as expensive as a lot of other places and the food is amazing.
