Read about Cooks some time ago. Is it still operating and if so, how is it?

Its located on the same block as Garufa Cocktail lounge, but just further up the street at the crossing. Its on the 2nd floor of the building at the crossing.

I've been there several times and the food is superb. The price is very reasonable.

Cooks Restaurant has a special menu on Jan. 25 for Betico Coes Day. Their house will be 11 am-4 pm.
BETICO CROES DAY- MENU ON JAN. 25– COOKS RESTAURANT

On January 25th, we commemorate the birthday of the late Aruban political leader, Gilberto Francois (Betico) Croes. A young ambitious schoolmaster/politician from the A.V.P. became the leader of a new political party - M.E.P. (Movimiento Electoral di Pueblo). This ambitious young politician emerged as the driving force for the next generation towards the realization of our new "Status Aparte" in the Dutch Kingdom. This was achieved in 1985 and made official as of 1st January 1986. With its new status Aruba was given autonomy from the Netherlands Antilles, and was allowed to function as a commonwealth within the Dutch Kingdom. Mr. Gilberto François Croes (better known as "Betico Croes") became the modern "liberator" of the Aruban cause, namely to become an independent partner within the Royal Dutch Kingdom.
