COOKS restaurant YOU SHOULD GO!

We dined at COOKS tonight.
It is on the same road as ElGaucho and the FOOD is EXQUISITE.

Presentation is beautiful.
Food is delicious.
Prices are reasonable.

The restaurant itself is on the 2nd floor in a commercial building on the same road as ELgaucho. (1 or 2 blocks south of elGaucho)

COOKS has its own parking lot.
It has a Piano bar.
Beautiful interior, awesome air conditioning ;-) , large beautiful windows.
Sushi night on Thursdays!
And like enterprise.........THEY PICK YOU UP.

Cooks is one of the top restaurants imo.

I had grouper stuffed with baked salmon with a saffron sauce.
It was DEELICIOUS.
Paul had lamb with a cabernet savignon marinade.
Paul is lying in bed as i type and he says......ok the rack of lamb was better than any i ever had.

Our friends had the steaks that were tender and juicy, and other friends had the scallops.
Extensive wine list.

We LOVED it.
We will go again!

when i looked at the website i too thought "too dressy".
found out from friends that it is not at all formal/dressy.
i had on a short set and paul had on a golf shirt and docker shorts.
the other 2 couples with us were dressed similarly.

i will mention to ommi, the owner, that formality was my first impression as well as yours when we saw the website.

Great restaurant!!!!!

We ate at Cook's Restaurant and we had a fabulous meal. As Andrea stated, our food was delicious and presented beautifully. We both chose the filet mignon and raved about it. Cook's is now on our list to visit every time we go to Aruba.

Wow, Andrea, thanks. This is one I haven't tried and most probably wouldn't have tried it either. Coincidence while passing by there today I was really paying attention to the banner that they have outside. I'll have to try it now.

Thanks, again.

Sounds great, thanks!
As a dedicated "foodie" I'll admit that Aruba is NOT my favorite place in the world to eat. There is some good eating to be done, and I am always looking for new places to try out. Now that we go with my daughter (2.5 y/o), I can only get out so many times to my fancy-pants eateries on a two week stay. Time to start planning for December!!
