For the first time yesterday, we ate at Zeerovers and we really liked it. We got the whole experience, as they were unloading fish off the boats with wheelbarrows and bringing them right in and cutting them up. We ordered two pieces of fish, french fries, and corn flour bread for $15. A beer and a wine was $6. It was a delicious and eclectic experience. For 2:30 PM, there were a lot of people there . Were were 3rd in line to order food, but it didn't take too long. We had tried to go there Sunday afternoon, but it was way too crowded. We sat right by the water and had a great meal. We also went for the first time Monday at noon (after ArubaBob snorkel trip) to Nikky Beach, and really liked that also. There was hardly anyone there and we sat at the bar. The owner's son Alejandro was bartending. The owner is from Columbia and married to a woman from New Hampshire. We discussed local Aruban culture and politics and then American culture and politics for over an hour. He seems like a very nice young man and we wish him well. Oh, the food was good too. We split a fruit platter and a grouper sandwich panini. The mango and passion fruit were the best. It was a very relaxing couple of hours spent there. The place is beautiful, the staff seemed very good, and it was very clean.
