This is always one of our favorite lunch spots on the island. If you can imagine an escape to a tree covered terrace behind downtown where they serve delicious soups, salads, and amazing sandwiches prepared with fresh baguettes . . . this is the spot.

My wife and I enjoyed a fabulous lunch with two other couples last week - a great escape to melt away a few hours over a glass of white wine, a delicious lunch, and warm conversation.

A few of us had the mustard soup . . . and it was fantastic (I'm going to try to make it this weekend at home back here in Canada).

I raise one big thumb up for De Suikertuin (Sugar Garden) . . .

Thanks Andrea. What I didn't mention is one of the couples we hosted for lunch are owners of one of our "absolute fave" restaurants on the island - they really enjoyed it (which in my mind is a testimony to them AND De Suikertuin)!

We love De Suikertuin. Go there at least two or three times per visit. Willeke is a great hostess. Love the menu.
