    Dining on a Budget?

I've read all of the dining options but I haven't seen anything about dining on a budget. Me and the hubby plan to try Barefoot and splurge on couple of other restaurants...but does anyone have suggestions on good / tasty cheaper meal options? Like for Breakfast and Lunch? We are staying at the Marriot Stellaris and Casino, does anyone know if they have a Microwave and Fridge in the rooms? I'm trying to plan ahead.

    Thank you all in advance!

http://www.aruba.com/forum/tags/rest...expensive.html check out these "tagged threads" re: inexpensive restaurants.

my guess is that it will be difficult to pull yourselves off the beach for lunch.
you may want to take a nice walk (10 min) down the beach to Scotts Brats which is located on the beach at Playa Linda.
they are open Mon thru Sat from 8 til 3
breaffast sandwiches bloody marys, brats, beers, soft drinks. yum an good pricing.

another breakfast lunch place i would recommend is Lindas pancake house on palm beach rd about a mile or 2 from marriott hotel.

check out the above link and read up.

we always are in a timeshare so have a bagel and fruit or something from the room for breakfast. lunch is usually something small and snack-like, and dinner is out or in our timeshare.

We like Salt and Pepper for tapas and a less expensive dining option. Pizza at Casa Tua is really good as well. We haven't made it to Scott's Brats yet but it sounds like you can't go wrong there. We met the owners at Amsterdam Manor and they are really nice people.

I would suggest Scotts Brats 10 minute walk from Marriott. Walk on the beach in the water. Another idea is five burgers in back of seņor frogs. Moombas has a decent breakfast buffet next to Surf club on the beach. Also there are a few coffee shops on the Palm Beach strip.

well, since you are going to be staying at the Stellaris, I certainly would recommend Moomba's, which is adjacent the Surf Club. They as well as the restaurant by the Pier (name escapes me at the moment) have very inexpensive items (under $10). Of course as you head further South, there are places like the one's mentioned in the previous post and as you get into town there is the fresh fruit and juice shack (directly behind the bus depot). Hope this helps.

We hit Scott's Brats three times for breakfast or lunch on our last trip, it's a great and inexpensive option. Last year we hit the crepe shack at the mall for breakfast a couple times, very inexpensive and pretty quick. Linda's is priced fairly well, if you have a car. We've also hit Casa Tua a number of times between morning and afternoon dives at Red Sail.

The Pelicans Nest is on the pier between Holiday Inn and Playa Linda. They have a wonderful grilled grouper or mahi mahi for $21(last year). Comes with rice grilled veggies a role and a sunset view on the water about 6:40.
The Terrace at the Westin has great reasonable lunches and light fare from 11:00am to 7pm also with a beach view.

Matthews at Casa Del Mar has a great breakfast for under $10 also with a beach view.

The Paddock downtown has very good lunches reasonably priced. www.eetcafethepaddock-aruba Service is a little slow but food is great. Right on the harbor.

Wow for some reason I didn't know they had a Mc Donalds or Dunkin Donuts, I lost 30lbs so I can look good in Aruba I may gain some of it back with all the great restaurant choices on a budget I think someone else mentioned Scott's Bratt's we will probably try that as soon as we get there. Thanks for the information!
