    dining suggestions

Counting down the days until arriving in Aruba! 1st time and can't wait. Now just a last time post for a little feed back:

thinking of a few casual restaurants:
    Fishes & More
    Wacky Wahoo
    Tango
    French Steak House
Pelican Nest (and sunset cruise, anyone taken this one??)
    Smokey Joes

Do we need reservations for these if dining early in evening ? Thanks for all the help.

There are some restaurants that you will need reservations for. For example we always make a reservation if we want to go to Madame Janettes. However, we enjoy eating out early and don't enjoy being tied to a reservation so we just take our chances and go. We've had no problem getting into most places when we arrive by 6. Even places like Amadeus and L G Smith we've had no problems getting a table.

Fishes 'n More and Tango have early bird specials until 6:30 (?) with Fishes having early bird all night tue..... ask for it if you are after 6:30. Reservations not needed. OK restaurants for casual.... not 'world class.' Smokey Joe's is great for ribs and burgers and don't think they take reservations. Wacky Wahoo always recommends reservations and is said to be fantastic. Pelican's Nest is a great location with so-so service. Also consider Bavaria and Bugaloo. There are lots of others too.

Dont know about the cruise, but we eat at Pelicans nest every trip. Fantastic grilled grouper with rice and grilled veggies plus biscuit for $21. Fishes and more is very good. Smokey Joes is just Ok in our opinion but we get excellent BBQ here at home at a number of places. Tried to go to Wacky Wahoo last trip but couldnt get in the night we went cause we didnt have a res.
