    Dinner Spotlight AMUSE BISTRO

Amuse has never been on our list for reasons unknown.

However, Chris the former maitre'd at MJ is the manager now at Amuse.

Who has been there and was it enjoyable?

Tried it a couple of years ago and it was OK.... nothing more. I had expected an extensive choice of 'smaller dishes' but very few were available. Don't think we'll be back.

the menu looks like the food should be "to die for"

being just "ok" must have been so very disappointing.

My husband and I really enjoy Amuse Bistro. I wouldn't rate the quality of the food at the level of MJ's or Papiamento, but the food is very good quality and the chef typically provides you with a complimentary "amuse bouche" which is always fun to taste/enjoy. I really enjoy the half-plate options they offer with some of their dishes because they are perfect when I have a smaller appetite or when I want to save on expense of a full size meal. I think the best part of Amuse Bistro is that the seating area is next to the sidewalk in front of Playa Linda and provides a fun view of everyone walking by and the excitement of the street. If you haven't visited this restaurant in a while, I recommend you try it - you'll see lots of changes that you'll like.

Food was good.... service too..... it just didn't have the wow factor I look for. I am quite critical of restaurants and it just didn't make it for me. DW was quite pleased with Amuse.
