Dinner's under $20 including soda & tip?

Just wondering what restaurants would be good to consider where you get can a meal, simple beverage, and tip and keep it at $20 a person? (also if the meal is good enough would consider just ordering water to keep the overall cost in budget)

Obviously the fast food places, probably the Pizza places, and King Ribs

What other places would be good to consider? We have several nights where we are going to splurge but... other nights we'll need to keep it simple to stay under budget (could eat it, but would prefer to eat out).

So... what thoughts come to mind?

We found a few early bird specials that were like 25.00 pp which included soup, salad, entree, dessert and a soda. We ate at Scala.

Look at Smokey Joes, Iguana Joes menu.

We shared a few appetizers here and thought it cheap

Both Wacky Wahoo & Old fisherman menue's start at about $16.00.

I enjoy the soup and a salad at Wacky Wahoo which comes to about $15.00 - Black bean soup or creamy seafood soup.

Portions (Salad, soup, burgers) at Bingo's are big enough to share.

Salt & Pepper has many meals under $20.00

None of the above resturants have a "service charge"

Casa Vieja will give you plenty of quality food with a drink and tipping is more or less optional, all for $20US.

Ditto Pueblito Paisa.

Amazing has all you can eat rib night for $18.95.

Turtles Cove which is located above the Bus Stop downtown and use to be Congo's Bar and Grill. They had a lunch special Hamburger/ Cheeseburger with fries and soda for $7-$9.00. They also offer $2.00 beer prices. Food was average and good for lunch. Bingo's on Palm Road has a good chicken or meat skewer with fries and salad for $10.00. They also have a Bar-hap special everyday for 10.00 which is a different everyday and will include a meat, starch and salad. This is a nice place to go for dinner and not expensive. Lastly on weekends at the flea market next to Certified mall they have ribs and chicken combo's and a small picnic area that is reasonable.

We really enjoyed the BBQ at B55. Really a nice local joint with lots of food and cheap brights!

I love this thread.
Folks that are on fixed incomes like paul and i and those with large families and folks just looking for a reasonable meal are all anxious and eager to find good food that is very affordable.

In this economy a lot of us have to be cost conscious.
