Favorite cheaper places not too far from high rise

We will have a car and are staying 16 days. We will definitely get out and try some places that are farther from the hotel and some off the beaten path places but I wanted to get some recommendations to add as "fillers" to my list. Our kids are 7 and 5 and we have been to the island several times. My 5yo gets car sick so like I said, I want some places that are definitively less than 10 min from Surf Club. We will definitely go back to Salt and Pepper and Linda's, and we will try Tomato Charlie. We will also go to Casa Tua but that is never cheap for us because my husband will get ossobuco. Oh, and does anyone know how many people you can feed with pizza at those places? Like a comparison estimate to NJ slices?

If your family likes fish, you can get a grilled grouper dinner at The Pelicans Nest on the Pelican Pier between Holiday Inn and Playa Linda. It comes with grilled veggies, rice and a roll for $21(last June). They have burgers and other food as well. Its a very large piece of fish. The waiter will even feed the fish at the end of the pier if you ask. We always go just before sunset.
I got car sick when I was your sons age too. My mother finally got some Dramamine for me and that took care of it. I believe you can get something like it now that doesn't make you sleepy.

A large pizza from Pizza Bobs will easily feed 4.

Both Tango and Fishes 'n' More have a three course early bird special for 22.75. Fishes offers it all night Tuesday.... but you have to ask for the menu. Smokey Joe's is always a favorite of ours. There are a number of others too.

Dramimine is amazing. We will use it for longer trips but cannot use it every day. Thanks.

Matthew's at Casa del Mar is good choice as it has a kids menu. And since it's beachfront, if the kids get bored they can play on the beach. I haven't eaten at Tomato Charlie's but my daughter & family has and they like Pizza Bob's in Costa Linda parking lot much better. There is a Pizza Bob's closer at Tropicana but I like the atmosphere better at C.L.

If you have meat eaters with you, the ayce ribs at Smokey Joe's are a good option. http://smokeyjoesaruba.com/our-menu

Bavaria and Barneys are my top "cheap" choices.
