Rio Steak House

Never got there, but was looking forward to it for months! It closed about a week before we arrived in Aug of 08! Website and menu looked wonderful.

<<sigh>>3 Little Birds- food could not be beat and romantic ambiance second only to the Flying Fishbone.

L'Escale also deserves honorable mention.

La Palamona was our favorate restaurant but it closed a number of years ago. They served excellent Italian food. Also, Talk of the Town once had a restaurant that had the best steak in Aruba. Ike Cohen was the owner of the Talk of the Town and he also owned the French Steak House at the Manchebo Beach Hotel. The FSH is now one of our favorate restaurants. We also enjoyed the Cattle Barron because it had a good salad bar. Going back even further, Flore de Pina was very good for takeout steak about 25 years ago,

Wow, I had forgotten all about that place! Thanks for refreshing a memory of an excellent meal.

I'm with Dom on La Palamona. It was fine dining, Italian style.

Mine would be 3 Little Birds and my husband's would be Boonoonoonoo's (he still misses those hot and firey ribs!) Also miss The Flame (loved having Steak Diane and Cherries Jubilee prepared tableside.)

Good grief, Amy, it's been ages since those were on a menu. When was that?
