    Fish in Aruba (not fishing)

Many of us make dining an important part of our vacations to Aruba.

Aruba is known for its awesome seafood.

What is your favorite? and where?

Actually, where does not have to be at a restaurant.
It can be at your dining room/kitchen table at your timeshare or your Aruba residence.

Me= I love Madame Janette's grouper either plain or lightly coated with almonds.
    and
I love the fresh grouper is the green marinade from Lings.

Paul= He loves the plain, pan fried grouper from Madame Janettes, and the huge shrimp from Lings.
He also loves the barracuda from Buccaneer.

Nope! No seafood, only white meat - basically chicken breast & non fatty pork. I'm trying really hard to to find a seafood I like. So far it's only snow crab, unless they have an ocean smell!

ETA - I did try Grouper fingers at West Deck - how can you go wrong with anything fried?

We eat a lot of seafood at home so I tend to prefer seafood from the cold New England waters. That said, I did thoroughly enjoy the grouper Parmesan at Barneys; the fried grouper fingers at Taste of Belgium and the coconut shrimp with mango chutney from West Deck.

    Madame Janette's coconut shrimp.

In Aruba I'd rather swim with the fish than eat them, but if the menu strikes my interest...

DW favors the Almond Crusted Gouper at Mme J's...... Me... I like anything that grazed and only occasionally something that used to swim.

I like the Almond Grouper At MJs, Coco Rasta Shrimps at MJs, I had this delicious seafood casserole at Tulips which I need to try again. It included like 4 or 5 different kinds of seafood. I also enjoyed the Dutch Grouper at Barneys which is made with Gouda cheese. At Pinchos I had grilled conch which was awesome. I was afraid it would be chewy but the waiter assured me that they have a special way of preparing it where it is tenderized and grilled just right. It was perfect! At Las Ramblas at La Cabana they have bacon wrapped scallops which is one of my favorites. Wow I never realized I ate so much seafood in aruba!!! I'm hoping to try the herb crusted Chillian Sea Bass at Yemanja on the next trip...
