Cancellations

I have been reading this wonderful forum for several months now. We are leaving for Aruba next week and have already made reservations for the Flying Fishbone. I was slightly hesitant because they told me that the tables in the water only seat two people and there are four of us but I went ahead and gave them my CC info. Now that I've read about The old man and the sea I would like to cancel our reservations at the FFB and make Reservations at the Old man and the Sea. I know we have to cancel 24hrs in advance. What is the best way to do that? We are staying at the Marriott Surf Club. Can we have someone there call and cancel for us once we get there. We get there Friday and our reservations are for Wednesday.

I also made reservations at the FFB for 10/10. After I read this thread I cancelled via e-mail. We also had given our CC info. I wrote that our plans had changed and we were sent a confirmation e-mail noting the cancellation. The sooner you cancel the better.

FFB Cancellation

I am surprised that FFB asks for a CC number when you make a reservation. This must be a new policy of theirs. Last November, we made a reservation and did not have to give a CC number in advance. In any event, if I were you, I would not wait to cancel until your arrival next week. Just email them through their website that you will not be able to keep your reservation and make sure they acknowledge your email that your reservation was cancelled.
