Flying Fishbone Resevations, credit card info
I noticed that on the dinearuba.com webpage, there's a link to make reservations for Flying Fishbone on http://www.flyingfishbone.net/reservations/index.php , but you have to put your credit card info in, which is not even a secure site. But if you go to www.flyingfishbone.com and click on reservations, you don't have to put your CC info in. Just a heads-up for all those who are making reservations for Flying Fishbone, and go to the link from www.dinearuba.com.

On the Flying Fishbone website you still need a credit card to make a reservation. The form is just a little different than going to reservations through www.DineAruba.com Look under where you enter the date, time, etc. It says:
Note: Valid credit card information is required as guarantee to hold the reservation (to view our cancellation policy click here). On the bottom of the page you need to enter your initals accepting their cancelation party. |

Flying Fishbone or Other Restaurant Re: CC
My personal opinion is never to enter your credit card on a non-secure website. When we have made reservations over the telephone with Flying Fishbone, they never asked for our CC number. There is another very nice restaurant, almost next store called "The Old Man and The Sea". Same romantic atmosphere and less crowded. Also tables right on the beach by the sea. We ate at the Old Man and The Sea a few weeks ago and had wonderful service, a delicious dinner and the best Sangria we ever had. For $100 you can rent your own priviate thatched hut on their pier overlooking the sea to watch the sunset. I think that hut can hold up to 6 persons. You have to reserve in advance! If you can afford the the additional $100 fee, it is well worth it. Great spot to propose to your loved one

I was at the Flying Fishbone last Sunday. All the guests' were dining in the back,on the sand. The back was half full and the rest of the restaurant was empty. You can probably wait until you get to the island to make the reservation.

Flying Fishbone or Other Restaurant Re: CC
The island was very quiet on our last trip. May is normally a quiet month to travel to Aruba, but not sure what the summer is going to bring with many people on vacation. I was looking at airfare on Continental Airlines from Newark, NJ for either the middle of July or middle of August. The airfare was over $700 plus tax, much higher then we paid in May. So it seems to me that the flights are either full or the airlines raised raised their fares because the cost of fuel is going up. Any thoughts?

Delta offers two daily flights to and from Aruba certain days of the week. Atlanta's Hartsfield airport last night was just as crowded as I have ever seen it at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
