    Food on the island

    We ate out every night...

Aqua Grill - Great seafood pot Maui-maui, calamari and fried bananas.

Benihana Japanese Steakhouse - Great food as expected... the sushi was also very good. If you have never been to a Japanese steakhouse this is a great place to try. The cooks were all great, ask them about the onion volcano.

El Gauchos - Awesome steak and pork... the 5-meat meal at the top of the menu was crazy good. The drinks were really strong and the service was excellent. This was probably my favorite restaurant.

Iguana Joes - Great drinks and burgers. The Jamaican Jerk chicken sandwich had some kick.

LG Smiths - The filet was the best I have ever had. We had a party of 10 and a private room with a curtain right next to the Casino. You really can't beat the steaks here. One downside was the two and a half hour meal time... but the chocolate moose cake was worth the wait.

Take it from a true Italian off the plane not the boat, I have also had Italian Food at La Dolce VIta and it was like I make it. Great influence from all over the World on Aruba, that is why everything and everyone is great, they get along.

Happy to see others like La Dolce Vita as much as we do. We just don't hear it talked about too much on the bulletin boards. We tried Sole Mare, and although good, La Dolce Vita is still our favorite when we're in the mood for pasta.

I'd like information re the La Dolce Vita place.

We tried Giannis last trip and felt it expensive for what we got.
Looking for new places to try for our second trip to Aruba.

    Here's their website: http://www.ladolcevitaaruba.com/

They're located on the main highway between downtown and the hotels.

Amy- thanks so much for the menu- I penciled it in on our calender.

If I ask a cab driver to take me to this place-- will he know the way--or should I have the direct address.?
