Gianni's or Passions

I know they are completely different type of places. I already have reservations at the Flying Fishbones during my trip end of August. Which one would you recommend, do you think I should skip Passions and go to Gianni's, we do like Italian food and I am reading so much praise about G, now I want to try it too.
Please post your thoughts.

To be perfectly blunt, my experience at Passions in April was TERRIBLE ! Bathroom a mile away, music to loud, dinner took forever, and when it finally came we couldn't even see what is was. Maybe others liked it, but I will never go again. Sunset is nice for pictures there....thats the only good thing.

We've dined at Passions many times and have loved the food, ambiance, and service. Will not hesitate to go back again!

But if it's Italian food you're looking for, then you'll need to go to Gianni's.

I can let you know about Passions next week. My Mom and Dad are dining there this week. Mom is pretty picky (born into the restaurant business and worked in it for 30+ years) and enjoys a nice gourmet dinner. With some of the prices Aruban restaurants are charging nowadays, the prices at Passions seem extremely reasonable. Will post back here and let you know.

Okay, my parents went to Passions and liked it very much. It was a good option for them since they did not have a car and did not wish to pay the $50 taxi fare to FFB and back.

They were happier with Passions in the long run because they can eat Italian anywhere they want when they are home in Florida. (Or come to their dd's house where Italian SIL can cook up an Italian feast to rival the best of them. ) However, even in Florida, there are not many options for dining by torchlight at the water's edge. Married 47 years and still into romance...

They did say though that Gianni's is getting a lot of "buzz".
