Gianni's Ristorante

Any input on this restaurant? My DH got a certificate for this place as a retirement gift, so we should have gone when we were there a week or so ago but didn't. That's because DH thought the certificate was for a local restaurant here at home because he didn't have his glasses on when he read it, and of course I never bothered to look at it. So, it wasn't until we got home and I received an e-mail from the sender that we found out it was for a restaurant in Aruba. We'll probably head back in November and use it then, but I wondered what people thought.

We went there once a couple of years ago, and liked it well enough. We sat outside, and that was nice. It seemed kind of hot at the inside tables. We weren't so wowed that we went back, but we would for sure if we had a certificate for a meal.

I AGREE!! We like Gianni's but don't looovvvveee it. The food is more "institutional" Italian. They are organized sometimes but it is hit and miss with them. As I said before in one of my posts, Gianni's changed the awning over their outside area about one year ago and as a result it is very warm. Before the awning had openings in it and this allowed more air flow. They have placed ceiling fans under the awning or it is really more of a tent now but it doesn't help that much. Inside is much cooler but "its inside"!

Gianni's Restaurant

We enjoy having dinner at Gianni's when we are on the island. However, we prefer to eat inside as they have air conditioning and outside it is warm and very crowded at times.

I've eaten here once and I liked it. We ate outside and was fine with it. I think we plan on returning this upcoming trip in July. My husband liked this place better then the place near the Lighthouse. I liked both...Enjoy...
