Steakhouse?

Hi all!

Going back to Aruba next week! Last time we were there, we dined at El Gaucho's. LOVED IT.

Before deciding to go there again, I thought I would ask everyone for a recommendation on a Steakhouse. We also ate at Pago Pago, but I liked El Gaucho much more.

TIA!

Hi TIA,

Glad you liked El Gaucho. We've been going there for years. Some of our bb friends may disagree but I'll try to put it as simply as I can, and this is what I say to anyone who'll listenLisa, et al; you can stop rolling your eyes now!)

El Gaucho's 16 oz Gaucho steak is the best tasting source of protein on the planet!! Don't think of this as a restaurant recommendation; think of it as me being concerned for your health. You need protein to rebuild the muscle you use up snorkeling, swimming, shopping and losing at the casino, don't you? And wouldn't you want your source of protein to be the very best you could possibly find?

Anyway glad you liked it. We'll be back there this coming January!

Bye for now,

Glenn

The trouble with ordering the steak at MJ's is that there are so many other delicious options!!! :-)

That said, after all the accolades I have seen here, I just might go for it!

Thanks, all!

Last time we ate at MJ's I had the Burger Loin- "Madame’s famous Burgerloin, our Prime Tenderloin, cut in two half’s and filled with sautéed onions, mushrooms and cheese topped with a good dash of our Sauce Béarnaise" Yummy!

My 2 cents..... The 'Old Butcher Steak' at Mme Janette's: Argentine tenderloin marinated in bacon fat and lard.... WOW! Please pass the Lipitor! Or the '22 oz Bone-in Prime Ribeye' at the Sunset Grille.... another serious contender for the best steak on the island in an upscale steakhouse environment! Too many steaks.... so little time! There are lots of choices that you will not be disappointed in!

Good steakhouse

We have eaten at most of the places people have recommended, but we need a good steakhouse that want bring the bank that is on the busline.(high, low or downtown walking). We were going to do El Gauchos, but we have talked to several people that have eaten their this week and said food and service was bad and way to high. Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks for all the info.

Loving Aruba..... LL

PS:Bully said hello to everyone...took us to OMAS last night (Report later but it was off the charts...awesome)

You might try thr French Steakhouse at the Manchebo Hotel. It is between the Aruba Beach Club and the Costa Linda in the lowrise area.
