Bottle of wine on a Sunday

Before going to Aruba last week, asked if anyone knew of a place to purchase a bottle of wine on a Sunday after the grocery stores were closed. No help then but I did see an ad in the local papers for a wine and food shop open Sunday evenings. It is located by the high rises beside the Domino's pizza and the Thai restaurant.

We have not been in a few years, but the Sunset Grill at the Radisson always had EXCELLENT beef. Very expensive though. Same for Ruth's Chris. We have not eaten at their Aruba location because we can do that at home, but they have an excellent reputation for their beef.
LG Smith at the Renaissance consistently receives very good reviews for their beef.
In the past I have also enjoyed the Chateubriand at Chalet Suisse.
FWIW, your dd should be able to find something she likes on the menu at Chalet Suisse.
I am looking forward to trying the Chateaubriand at Windows on Aruba in December.

lisa,

When last year at the radisson, i had made a reservation however,I did not care for the sunset grill at all, was extemely expensive and not worth the price, ( my opionion ) would not go back. Will look at the Chalet menu , also , have to admit that Windows place looks very nice, are these places a far cab ride from the Marriott, do you know ?

Kathy figure $7 - $9 each way between Palm Beach and Windows or Chalet Suisse. They are both in the low rise area.

Thumbs up May I Recommend

L.G.'s Steakhouse at the Renaissance next to the Crystal Casino! Prime steaks cooked to perfection! Our personal favorite is the 10 oz fillet mignon with your choice of two sides for $29.95! Francois is the manager and our favorite waiter is Jean Baptiste.

And this is on the bus route! No expensive cabs to worry about!

Good eats,

Susan

I've been eating at Mango's (Amsterdam Manor) for my first night in Aruba for the past few years now. Always have the filet mignon and it's excellent - and it's from the U.S. Great steak after a long day of travel and next to no food really hits the spot! I'll be eating there again on...Sept. 17th...my first night in Aruba.
