I've had the pleasure of dining at Hostaria da' Vittorio several times over the past couple of years. Each meal was very good and the service professional and attentive. This weekend, Mrs. 44 and I stopped in for a supper and enjoyed every bit. Started with the minestrone, which came with a stick of fried polenta. Soup was perfectly prepared with the vegetables still firm, the broth tasty and NOT too much salt. (Too often there's an excessive amount of salt in the soup and other items at some places and it ruins the rest of the dish. Had a not so good meal at another place that will get a not so good review if they get the third strike for TOO MUCH salt one more time.) Anyway, soup got things going as did a brushetta and a caprese salad. Then came the osso buco. No knife needed, just fell off the bone. Had to have a red sauce/sausage/pasta dish because I like that and the fusilli hit the spot. Flavor jumped right off the plate. Nice. Sorry no room for dessert.

Those look tasty.

H da V was a favorite of our for a number of years. Their osso buco was a particular favorite. Our last two visits were disappointing.
