If a well established restaurant was to offer a dinner show 1x a week

If a well established restaurant in Aruba was to offer a dinner show.....audience participation....like a murder mystery or a comedy wedding or a comedy funeral etc...

would it be something that interests you?

many seem to agree that nightlife is a bit lacking if you are looking for shows or entertainment other than casinos or dancing.

a few years ago at one of the places at palm beach there was a dinner theater that flopped.

so, after a day on the beach.........and then dinner........are you just pretty much too wiped out to do much of anything at all?

if i am not at the casino, i am in bed in aruba sometimes at 9:30.

Definitely not something we would be interested in, especially the audience participation part. When we're out to dinner I want to relax, enjoy and focus on my meal. We went to Sole Mare once and they had an accordion player who came around to the table and I just wanted him to go away. We actually haven't been back there even though we enjoyed the food. If we were to go to a show I would prefer it to be after dinner.

I would have to agree - an audience participation dinner show type thing would not interest me at all.

We did attend a show once at the theater at the Crystal casino (Crystal Theater maybe?). That was fun, but it was a one time thing. A comedy show would be a fun night out. Benihana was as much of a dinner show as I would want!

Nope.... no interest here.... Dinner with my wife is all the entertainment I desire... then a little walk and maybe a night cap..... then I'm off to the casino....!

Nope, but we did have a great time at the the Aruba Ray Comedy Show. Dinner was of the beverage persuasion.

No interest here either. We would avoid it. When we do go to a sit down dinner we like to just talk about the day and plans for the next day.

We attend shows (plays, Broadway, musicals, comedy, etc.) on a regular basis here. We would love to attend something of that nature in Aruba. But....a dinner/show mix is not for us. If you put the two together then you usually receive a lackluster/blah dinner. At home we have dinner at a nice restaurant prior to the show and then drinks after. We have a couple of dinner theaters here and avoid them like the plague - the two together are not a good mix. The show should be its own entity and does not belong in the restaurant biz.

We'd like some more entertainment options but not necessarily attached to dinner. As Amy said, those dinners are usually sub-par.

I can remember back at the turn of the century, there was a revue type show at the old casino near PBV and LaCabana (since torn down). we enjoyed that a couple of times. Also in the Palm beach are there was a latin review type of show.
