I can remember back at the turn of the century, there was a revue type show at the old casino near PBV and LaCabana (since torn down). we enjoyed that a couple of times. Also in the Palm beach are there was a latin review type of show.

No interest either. Beach during the day, nice dinner and drinks and then probably a little casino play. What better way to spend the evening with your better half.

I would love to see other forms of entertainment at night though. Casinos don't interest us. When we go to Vegas we only go there for the restaurants and the shows - don't bother with casinos because it's just not our thing.

a bunch of us from Divi Village attended a dinner and a show, the dinner was at LG Smith's and you had a choice of Steak, Chicken or Fish and the show was at the Casino next door all different singers from the states and they where fantastic but only lasted one time we all wanted to go the next year but they didn't have any more. Not a fan of participation; I especially don't like strolling musicians at restaurants. I'm happy with a nice, quiet, relaxing dinner, a bit of time at a casino or listening to some island music someplace. We were never interested in the "drag" show, and we don't go to shows when we're in Vegas (except for an occasional comedian or band we fans of). We don't go to the theater nor dinner shows (except that one time my mom dragged me with my 2 kids at 9 mos and 3 yrs to the Dixieland Stampede in Myrtle Beach).

    Bottom line; we're boring

Hoping for a 30th anniversary trip to our favorite place.

I like going to shows, but not during dinner. Dinner theater makes me think about the ones my aunt insisted on dragging the family to when I was a kids-not great food or great show. We rather go to dinner and then a show or comedy club or concert or act or whatever.

No thanks. Dinner with the wife and friends is all of the entertainment we need. We do like a live band though.

Ok...I tend to agree with all the responses. If we are on vacation, we really don't want a participation show/activity. I am not sure of the other properties but the Marriott properties tend to close access to the pools and hot tubs around 10pm. One of the things we love is to go down to the pools and hot tubs later...prior to closing and enjoy just standing/floating in the water/hot tub, having a drink....relaxing. I would rather see the properties allow access later...up until midnight for example. I don't really care if a security guard is around...it's not like we are doing anything crazy. I do however, think that the comedy shows or something people could do after dinner as an option...does have some value. Excellent topic and discussion Andrea!

I was actually looking for something like this for my trip. I found the night life lacking or just loud music thumping. The competing music was annoying at times. My boys went to Gosto which was suppose to be the place the young people go. It was dead when the went so, they came looking for us at Bugaloe. They had a good time there one of the nights. You can participate if you want. Encouraging but no pressure.

Sometimes we are wiped out so if something can give us a pep in our step, I welcome it. Our best times out were when we had a friendly staff to learn from and laugh with, great atmosphere or eating interesting food. When you have a bunch of different ages going out together, a place with something fun going on would be a nice option. A comedy show comes to mind. I am all set on accordion, violin stuff.
