Islander Grill

Has anyone eaten at the Islander Grill at La Cabana.

I see they have a Monday all you can eat fajitas, Wednesday All you can eat ribs and Sunday Prime rib dinner special.

I plan to go out to other restuarants but there will be 1 or 2 lazy days where I will want to eat close by.

I also want to try Chalet Suisse close by. I heard its great. Kind of expensive but the menu looks great..

Appreciate any feedback.

Going to La Cabana Sep 24 to Oct 1...

We've had lunch at the Islander several times and like it. As we are right next door are Paradise Beach, it's convenient.

We are also right next door to the Chalet Suisse (on the other side) and that is a teriffic place to eat. Expensive but worth it for a special night out. You have to get the lobster bisque if you go.

IMO lacabana's "islander grill" ..... average
my husband says the burgers are fair.
their chicken fingers/tenders are good.
their onion rings are good
their breakfasts are fair.

their prices are not too high

Haven't tried the Islander, but we did have a fabulous meal at Chalet Suisse! (good enough to go back a second time!!!!) Filet Mignon was the best ever, and any chocolate dessert is A+++++!!!!

on nights that we ate in, we always got a chicken caesar salad from the islander grill.
the lady that took the take out order always said to me......"is this for you and your husband to split?" paul or i would say YES and she'd say....."i'll make sure i give you extra"

Oh yes they have a take out menu. I usually like to eat in the first night. My routine is check in at the resort, head to supermarket, unpack and by that time its probably dinner time.

What time is check in a La Cabana?
