Mrs. 44, two friends, and I went to Japengo at the Hyatt last night. This was quite a treat as my friend had the meal comped from the casino. (He didn't offer details whether he won or lost.) Anyway, we sat inside and had very good service.
Mrs. 44 went with the spicy tuna roll to start. I had the shrimp dumpling-like appetizer as did my pal. Entrees were Marco Polo which is a sort of Asian twist on surf and turf that Mrs. 44 reported as very good. I had the pork tenderloin in a hoi sin sauce that was exceptional. The vegetables that came with it were crispy fresh, exactly the way I like them. My pal had the glazed Chilean sea bass that he mentioned was about the best he's had on the island, better than the place downtown.
Sorry, no photos of this adventure. There were quite a few diners in the room and I didn't want to disturb them. Suffice it to say, this place goes on the list of recommended places for fine dining.
