La Cabana To The Flying Fishbone: Distance

Hello All,

As a first timer to the island ... can anyone tell me approximately how far the Flying Fishbone restaurant is from La Cabana?

Thanks,
DB

I agree Liz, but a couple of times the traffic in town has made it longer. I have even tried going through Santa Cruz and got tied up in "rush hour".

Aruba is unlike many islands. There are darn good restaurants frequented by many patrons, seemingly in the middle of nowhere. The Flying Fishbone is one of those restaurants - quite off the beaten path. You may want to investigate renting a car, if not the entire week, perhaps just for a few days. This will allow you to explore the island and easily get to places like The Flying Fishbone, Madame Jeanettes, Mirandi etc.

I often recommend first time folks to take a jeep tour of the island to get the 'lay of the land' so to speak and maybe the Kukoo Kunucu bus tour if you want highlights of the island night spots. Then once your a little familiar with the island, rent the car and go to all the places you want to visit in a little more depth, including the restaurants situated away from the hotel areas.

I have come to the conclusion that I will be renting a car for 5 days. Then a jeep for one day. I can't justify spending 1/3 of a car rental cost on one cab ride. Thanks for the advice.
