    Le Petit Cafe

Has anyone dine at Le Petit cafe? I've passed by it on several trips and it never intrigue me. Yesterday I was doing some restuarant reviews and I liked the menu. They cook on hot stones which peek my curiosity.

I pretty much stick my favorite restaurants like Matthews, Chalet Suiise, Cuba's Cooking but I always want to try at least 1 new restuarant per trip..

Been there a few times and were not real happy with my steak or chicken. I do not cook real well at home, add to that me cooking on vacation with the hot stone and my meat was too well done each time. My husband though loves the place. I say give it a try !

We loved it. We went for a late lunch one day and had red snapper and either mahi mahi or grouper, can't remember which one but both were cooked on the hot stones. It was one of our favorite meals on our last trip. At lunch time there was hardly anyone there and our service was good too.
Not sure when, but we will be back

We didn't care for it. I want the restaurant to cook my meal. Besides, hot grease spatters and can get on you.

it's our favorite resturant, we ate dinner there twice when we were there a couple of weeks ago. the food is fantastic and so is the service. we find it a unique experiance to be able to cook your dinner to your exact liking. my wife likes her steak pretty rare and most places won't cook it the way she likes it. if it starts to get a little to cooked, remove it from the stone!

do you have a choice of them cooking it for you? I don't want to cook at home, let alone on vacation. lol. I thought I heard that if you want, they will cook it for you.

It is a fun experience... we have been there twice. I have always gotten the steak/lobster on a stone. You cook it to how you like. It's pretty tasty and something different. I wouldnt go as far as saying it is an amazing restaurant - but certainly not bad.

We've been a couple of times for dinner and enjoyed the experience. They have a good, reasonable breakfast too.

I am not sure if we had a different experience than others but our food came out on the stones and we just watched it, no work involved.

Yep, that's about all there is to it. Just pull it off the stone when it's cooked to your liking.
