    The Lighthouse restaurant

Does anyone have any opinion, recommendation for this Italian restaurant? We will be in Aruba on Thursday and are looking into some nice evening restaurants.
    Thanks.

We ate there a few years ago and thought it was good but pricey. The view can not be beat though. Go at 6pm and view the sunset from there. I guess you are also paying for the view.

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

La Trattoria at The Califonia Lighthouse is one of our favourite places to eat. I would guess we've been there at least once on every trip for the past 7 or 8 years.

We always go up there for lunch. I'm just a little nervous about that road in the dark.

In any event, we've had a variety of menu items; salads, anti-pasto dishes, pasta, and sandwiches. The food has always been pretty good. It's not cheap, but heck, this is Aruba.

The view over the noonhour is nothing short of spectacular.

i agree with you re: that road to the lighthouse.
even though there are streetlights, i be it would be difficult after dark.then again, i try to avoid driving at night everywhere.
old age does that to folks.

Havent been impressed with any Italian on the Island. Sole Mare was OK. Casa Tua's pizza is good - but i skip the other italian dishes.
