    the white asparagus is excellent.
we had it a few times at MJs.

last spring we were able to find some here at one of our local grocery stores.
i steamed them, and served them with hollandaise.
    not as good as MJs.

We enjoyed our dining companions at MJ's that day. They probably made the experience even better!

DH & I are not very adventurous with food, but, Aruba has changed that a bit for me. I tried Grouper a few different ways last year And Pastechi, Funchi, etc.

One thing I see on so many menus in Aruba is escargot. I haven't had snails in many years and haven't tried them in Aruba. So should I be trying an order and if do, where?

My girlfriend (who I travel to Aruba with and has been going their since she was 12 years old with her parents) is the "connoisseur of escargot in Aruba". That's my name for her because she orders escargot at EVERY restaurant in Aruba if they offer it. LOL! I can tell you that she has not found one to be sub-par yet. She loves them all so I wouldn't hesitate to order them anywhere.

Here at home I found them to be chewy and garlicky. I'm thinking I'll give them a try in Aruba.
