Cool Looking for Restaurant for special bday celebration

Hi all. Looking for restaurant for special bday celebration when we go to Aruba. Good food, nice view, nice atmosphere. Any restaurants with an outdoor deck or would it be too windy? Please let me know, Thanks, Arubacam

Whenever we are in Aruba for our wedding anniversary we celebrate at Passions on the Beach at the Amsterdam Manor. For us, delicious food under the stars with live music, torchlight and terrific service is everything we could want.

As to the wind outdoors, remember the wind more often than not, does die down a bit in Aruba at night after sunset.

If you did not want to eat directly on the sand, another good option is requesting a table under the palapa at Barefoot Restaurant.

Last year we celebrated both my birthday and our anniversary in Aruba. Passions is our usual pick to celebrate a special occasion so that was our anniversary dinner - and for my birthday dinner I picked my other favorite, Screaming Eagle. Love the food and ambiance at both.

In addition to the above, I would recommend Papiamento, poolside for two. The wind will not be an issue. The food is fabulous. The setting is one of our favorites. Wherever you choose, ENJOY!

I think it's really difficult to pick a restaurant for a special occasion because there are so many good restaurants to choose from. For a time Madame Janettes was the spot and then we went to Carte Blanc for DH's retirement. As much as I enjoyed Carte Blanc (food is exceptional) I want to go somewhere I haven't been before. So we're between Barefoot or Pinchos for our 31st anniversary in May. So guess I wasn't much help but i do understand the dilemma!!

I would have to agree with Passions on the beach being our absolute favorite restaurant. Staff here are very well trained to make your experience a 'special' one. Food is very, very well-prepared also. Can't beat the setting at sunset.

We like Pinchos too, but Passions is really a first class restaurant that is not overly-priced for the quality.
