    Lucy’s Retired Surfer Bar

So Lucy’s was on our To Go List and today was the day as it’s conveniently located across from the Crystal. It was pretty busy and we got the last 2 seats at the bar. Our bartender was fun and she told the story when I ordered the shark attack. There was a nice breeze coming across the water so it’s a nice spot to hang out. We ordered nachos and coconut shrimp which came with a pineapple-mango chutney both of which we were quite happy with. Nice spot to spend an hour or two in the afternoon.

we stopped @ Lucys on monday afternoon on the way back from Baby Beach.
we went in at about 2:30 and there was a young man that appeared to be an employee was on his cell behind the bar.
he motioned for us to sit.
he eventually disappeared and we were the only ones there.
after about 10 minutes it became obvious that nothing was going to happen.
    so we left.
    it was a bit bizarre.

It makes you wonder where the manager is!!! We had attentive service, good food, and a full bar. The bartender said they were getting a lot of people from the cruise ships which makes sense.

Another prime example of why if you own a business you best plan on being at your business or else....stuff happens and that stuff is never good!

That’s disappointing. Not the best way to start a new location.

paul and i could have made our own drinks, served ourselves and left and no one would have been the wiser.
no cruise ships in on monday.
maybe they were having a staff meeting (off site )

We stopped by Lucy’s after dinner last night. No one was in the dining area but most of the bar seats were full. It was very quiet, bartenders were slow and not very personable. To me, it had zero vibe. I have no desire to return any time soon.

Well that certainly would have gotten your point across and maybe someone's attention.

Your staff can easily make or break you! Glad we had a good day sorry others didn’t. Consistency is important.
