Madame Janette

Dh and I have been there a couple of times and their food is good. With that being said though we have found in September it is quite "warm" even though you are dining outdoors. We eat outdoors many other places and do not have this problem.

Is there a special table or section to request that we are missing out on? I know most people rave about this restaurant, but we have always found it short of this mark because of our discomfort.

I would really like to recommend this restaurant to my parent's for this upcoming trip, but when spending that much money there are other places where imho, they can have a meal which is just as good.

So...what are we missing? I'm really looking for someone to talk me into this place. I know my Mom would love the Burger Loin and Dad would love the Mahi- Mahi "Don Corleone", but not if they have to sweat through it.

I have dined at MJ's many times (2 times on this last trip) and I always request a table that is not under the overhang. I find that it is much more comfortable when seated completely under the stars. If you get a table under the overhang it can get quite warm unless you are seated directly under a fan.

lisa i have found that sitting on the "yard" far from the overhang is perfect. quite often we sit along the fence right near the gazebo-like structure, that seast about 8. (i think the fence area i am speaking about backs up to aruba blue village apartments)

only once did we suffer from sweat/humidity/no breeze and it was in late august.

I was there in May and sat along the fence near the gazebo-like structure and it was wonderful. I had heard from friends not to sit near the overhang. I love the restaurant, the food is wonderful. Mirandi's used to be my favorite but now I think that MJ is number one!!

In March, we sat outside next to the man playing the guitar and singing. It was lovely - a nice breeze and we weren't hot at all!
