Anyone ever have just a plain filet with them? I love beef but I don't really enjoy sauces on them at all for the most part.

Sure..... Tournedos a la Ramon ordered with the sauce on the side or The Prime Argentine Center Cut Tenderloin or The Old Butcher Steak and if you just order a filet, I'm confident that they would take care of you.

They can make any of their steaks without any sauces, mushrooms, etc. The only beef that I remember having at MJ's is the Gianni Versace as I like it so much that I order it every time now. The would have no problem omitting the hollandaise sauce. DH usually gets fish or the Butcher Steak.

I had the chefs skirt steak last year and really enjoyed it. I got it because I was not particularly hungry and did not think it would be big. It looks like a couple of pieces on your plate and then you find a couple more underneath and a couple more under that and so on. Turns out it is a lot of skirt steak. It was tender and flavorful. I had a lot of leftovers for the next days lunch. Made a great couple of sandwiches.

I am one of those who read reviews mainly because I did have a bad experience there and haven't gone back. Last year we had a party of 10 with us and because of the experience we had we chose another place (El Gaucho) Always had a great dinner there and our friends raved about the place. Unfortunately because we value other people's opinions we lost out on another great time at MJ'S. However we are going back in Feb. to celebrate our 30th wedding ann. and I am thinking I'll give them another shot. I really don't want to be disappointed, but if you don't try again you'll never know.
    Next Aruba trip in
