Marandi or Passions for romantic dinner

We are looking to have a romantic and relaxing dinner one evening at one of the restaurants on the beach. We've been to Flying Fishbone before, so it's either Marandi or Passions this trip. It seems as though both have a wonderful romantic atmosphere so I guess the deciding factor will be the food and wine. We are not picky about what we eat (love seafood, meat etc).

We have a rental car so travel is not a problem. So, where should we make the reservation? Any suggestions?

If you want to be right on the beach, then it's Passions -- the entire restaurant is on the beach! (the menus are cool -- it's so dark that they have a light built in that turns on when you open it!) We personally liked Mirandi's just a little bit better for food and service, and the atmosphere was wonderful, but it's on a pier, not on the beach (you can have a table right next to the water).
You'll find loads of comments on both here on the forum -- just do some searches.

Mirandi has the best food and Service.
Passions is more romantic.

Mirandi's would be my first choice.

We love them both but Passions would be our first pick - good food (love their watermelon salad and crab salad) and there is nothing like dining on the beach, torches all around, music in the background, and the soft waves just a few feet away.

Marandi is also good, too, but you're not directly on the beach.
