Marina Pirata

My wife and I had dinner here on the 1st of September after seeing some pretty good reviews. It is south of the Airport, so cab fare was 22 down and 24 back (should have waited until we had the Tropic car from Hans) so we'll take the car next time, but it was definitely worth the trip this place is fantastic!
We sat right on this large deck that they have right in the water and after dark you can see the fish in the water which was real cool.
We both had the catch of the day cooked in different ways, it was barracuda that day and it was delicious. It's a steaky fish kind of like swordfish, but the flavor is outstanding.
Great service, great atmosphere, very romantic and the total was about $80 for both of us with about 5 drinks each.
We're going back next year definitely

I am happy to hear that you had a good experience at one of our favorites. It is a little known gem.

I would make a reservation if you want a table outside next to the water. They also have seating under an overhang (ate there once when it began to rain during dinner- rare at that ).

The restaurant was busy when we were there in June. Apparently it is pretty popular with the locals.

OK, thank you.....however....

I tried to call three times 011-297-585-7150 and got no answer

Tried to e-mail hassana@marinapiratarestaurant.com and it bounced back as undeliverable

Tried their "alleged" website at marinapiratarestaurant.com to no avail

Not so little things like this make me wonder.....what's up with them? What will their service be like? Should I just go somewhere else with so many other choices available?

I would think so. Somethings are just not worth it.

I've been there a few times and never had anything that was less than excellent.
