Hi Andrea....we spoke years ago in the old chat, with Flora, Micha, Izzy (whom we saw with his band -AWESOME night) etc....anyway...

We just found our meal to be totally tasteless. I was anticipating more of a fine dining Mexican experience vs what we had.

So I know I'm picking up an old post, but has anyone been to Mexicado at the Hyatt recently? I was really excited when I heard there was a new Mexican restaurant opening, but reviews a few months ago were less than stellar. Did they make it, are they still open?

If you just want Mexican, and a nice outdoor atmosphere, we like Iguana Cantina in the outdoor mall directly across from Playa Linda/Holiday Inn.
Not sure when, but we will be back

Mexicado is still listed under dining on the Hyatt Aruba site... but still no menu available! The other restaurants at the Hyatt do have menu links!

Thanks. We've tried Iguana Cantina several times, always hoping for a good experience. Unfortunately we've always had the opposite. The food, service and drinks just didn't measure up. I mean, how do you mess up a margarita? There's only 3 ingredients. The few times we went I almost had to beg for service. We have excellent Mexican restaurants here, and I've travelled frequently to San Diego, so maybe I'm just spoiled. But $130 for a meal for two? Two can eat at MJ's for that amount.

Finally, months later, a menu from the Hyatt site. http://aruba.hyatt.com/content/dam/P...inner_Menu.pdf

Thanks for the link CP. As much as I like Mexican food, I just can't seem to wrap my head around those prices. I just had two fresh mahi-mahi tacos at Blue Water Seafood in San Diego less than 3 hours ago with a cold beer for 15 bucks total. As an example $24 for chicken enchiladas, even in Aruba, is just insane (IMO). I might give the place a try, but I just don't know.

Wish I could have joined you in SD. Agree with you on the pricing issue.... beyond my budget for Mexican.

Wow, if you think that's expensive, don't come to Charleston SC!
