If it were me I would still go. Everyone has differing opinions on dining as everyone has different tastes. If the portions have shrunk then great, you now have more room for dessert. I always though their portions were too large so the change for me would be minor.

    Well, OK since you insist.

We haven't been to MJs for several years. We've been 3-4 times total - once each visit to Aruba. We heard everyone rave about the place and saw how far ahead you had to make reservations so figured it had to be exceptional.

We found the setting to be very pleasant and conducive to a romantic evening. We enjoyed the musical accompaniment for our dinner. We felt the food was very good but not exceptional. If MJs has changed (for better or worse) in the past few years, I can't say.

I will say I'm not easily impressed, though I expected to be with all the build up that came before.

I'd rather eat at Chalet Suisse.

That's my take. Your results may vary.

everyone has an opinion based on their personal experience.
many factors come into play, waitstaff and chef overworked, etc.. prefer chalet suisse over mj's.
my personal favorite azzuro at playa linda, great staff, atmosphere and good food... also they make the best grey goose and iced tea. lol

your posting shows great customer service.
    Communications are so very important.
As I said in my review our food was delicious and more than plentiful.

It appears Chef Kasi and pratoman disagree on whether or not portion sizes changed.
