Looking for some places to eat that the locals go to. We are staying at La Cabana and are looking for places near. Any and all suggestions welcome.

There are some restaurants in that area, but not many, if any, that you would call local.

Aruba Bound! ~ Blogging to Aruba ~ Hoosier Kitties ~ Our-Cruises ~ Pictures of Aruba
Christmas & New Year's at the Amsterdam Manor
the locals go to:
Hot Take Away located next door to AMADEUS restaurant
Cafe' Capri located about 100yds beyond Hot Take Away
Lindas Pancakes located on Palm Beach Rd near Valero gas station
Old Fisherman downtown 1 block beyond bus stop
Nos Conucu located inland not far from lacabana
to name a few
Thank you! We want to avoid the "big name" places this trip and try some new places that just have good food. Not looking for anything fancy, just a nice glass of wine and good food. We don't mind jumping in a taxi so it doesn't have to be right next to La Cabana. Seems like when we ask where to eat, the hotel staff always directs us to the big name places which are good but often times way over rated. We want to eat at places where the local people of Aruba eat and not all the tourists.
Peanuts in downtown Oranjestad as well.

At the eagle beach every day in the afternoon there is a small truck serving food for lunch, locals like to go there for lunch.
The Aruban Chef located after Amadeus.
