I try not to limit myself with too many rules.

To the extent possible, I research restaurants at home before we leave for Aruba. My wife and I discuss the options. When we arrive in Aruba we talk about restaurant choices with our friends the first week and our daughter and SIL the second week to make choices. Hey, we're on vacation and we're going to do what we want. We go where the menu/atmosphere are what we want. I eat whatever looks good to me at that time. Some of our choices are fine dining and some are casual. Some are fish and some are not.

Great answers! Love reading them all

    My list is quite simple:
    Do:
    1) Try something new (unless it's fish....)
    2) Enjoy the experience fully
    3) Try at least one new restaurant each visit
    4) Take a breath, relax and enjoy

    Don't:
    1) Expect NY type rushed service
    2) Take the experience for granted
    3) Take the kids out if they are really tired/cranky

I try to keep it simple

    I love reading these!!

    Do’s:

    1. Research each and every restaurant before we leave for Aruba and compile a list of potentials including the days they are closed.

    2. Go out to breakfast at least once.

    Don’t:

    1. This is HUGE for me…I won’t go to chain restaurant while in Aruba. Like North said, if you can find it at home I won’t go.
    2. Worry about how much we are spending. Plenty of time to worry about that when we get home.
