Smile my experiences

Hi guys,
just got back from aruba, and i have to say i am not too impressed by what i ate.
the first restaurant i tried was driftwood-food was good but service was really poor. I dont know if this is because i was dining alone and they didnt care or they didnt think i would tip or eat as much but it was terrible service. Food was really tasty, i have the lobster crepe to start and the fish special as a main. Portions were large and i couldnt finish the main.
Next restaurant i tried was que pasa?- service was excellent couldnt really fault it. But the food was terrible. ( had almond crusted shirmp. For main i had the fish special with the lobster sauce. Really poor, just three chunks of meaty fish and not much sauce. The sauce didnt have much flavour and the fish was so meaty you couldnt really eat it dry.
Iguana joes- pretty average for both service and food but had a nice cocktail.
Waterfront crabshack- service average food poor. Had fishermans soup to start- prawn was overcooked and soup was salty- for my main i had the lobster fra diablo- The lobster tasted like it was cooked for days it was very soft and mushy not like properly cooked lobster at all. I asked if all the seafood was cooked per order and was told yes. So i complained and changed for another- this time i only got a lobster tail rather than half a lobster but the tail was cooked well. However the rest of the seafood had been overcooked obviously because it was under heat lights.
then i went to madame janettes- WOW amazing food great service good ambience. everything was good. Servings were HUGE.. glad i came for my last night as it made the whole holiday. I highly recommend it. I had the lobster raviolis which were very tasty and then the almond grouper. wonderful!! also this was the only place out of the previous restaurants who sell champagne by the glass although i opted for a bottle anyway )
