Great meals at the following during my Feb-March sojourn:

    Yemanja:

    and

    White Modern Cuisine:

Both cost me a mint, but worth every penny.

Since 1980, and throughout the many changes, we still love going downtown in Oranjestad.

You might want to try The Old Cunucu House. The setting is, as the name suggests, an old house. A throwback perhaps to Aruba's old Dutch colonial days.

Most evenings when we've gone there, we've been the only North Americans there; the rest being Aruban or Dutch tourists.

The food is good, my wife loves their keshi yena. The service is very good as well (attentive but not intrusive to the point of being annoying). You can ejoy your celebratory dinner in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere.

Check to make sure it is open on Sundays.

I don't know if you have enough upfront time to book a reservation but I suggest Carte Blanche. Although I have not had the opportunity to try the restaurant, as it remains ever elusive to katherine and I, I hear the most awesome reviews.

It is an intimate, one "group" seating, multi course meal that is prepared for a select (those lucky to obtain a reservation) group of guests. I think the seating is in the range of 14-20. The meal is paired with wines and the food, atmosphere and conversation is supposed to be memorable.

Soon Come...we are setting our sites for March 2013... unless Kat and I can escape this fall w/out the kids.

Have always enjoyed Que Pasa. Banana Fritters for desert.

    Also, suggest Gostoso Restaurante.

Amuse Bistro was a major let down

Can't agree with you more. Kat and I were excited to try amuse bistro last September. What a let down! The service was great, liked the idea of the small portions but the food was a big disappointment.

We were also disappointed. It gets such great reviews on tripadvisor. My hubby has a hearty appetite and it definitely was not his thing.

For a romantic setting, poolside, and great food, my pick is always Papiamento. Can't go wrong!

My wife and I enjoyed eating at Bingo! last year when we were there. It will be on our list of places to eat again when we are back in a few weeks.
