We went to Matthew's at Casa Del Mar for the first time and it was wonderful! Great atmosphere and food. I would stay away on Wednesday nights as it was Karaoke night!

You can never go wrong with El Gaucho either!

I really enjoyed Windows on Aruba, but my DC felt uncomfortable with the attentive staff, and felt like they were hovering. I would go back in a heartbeat for that rack of lamb. Dessert not so much, when I order brownies and ice cream I guess I expect a good size brownie and a large scoop of ice cream, at Windows you get a somewhat deconstructed version with bite size pieces of brownie and teeny spoonfuls of ice cream. Silly, I know, but that really was my only complaint.

Funny you should mention this because it is true. We have always found whether in Aruba or here in the states, a polite couple of words will solve the problem. I usually just say with a smile that we are easy to please and do not wish to be rushed. Adding with a smile, all they need to worry about is keeping dh's ice tea or water glass filled and we will be extremely happy. This has yet to fail us.

We love Pinchos. The food is great and you can't be the atmosphere. Being there at sunset is amazing.

Good afternoon,

May I make a couple of suggestions?

Papillon, a delightful French restaurant in the high-rise district. Tres, tres bon!!

El Gaucho, an Argentinian steakhouse downtown on Wilhemenastraat. I eat one 16oz steak a year and this is the place. Their 16oz Gaucho steak is, not to put too fine a point on it, the best tasting source of protein on the planet!

Linda's Pannekoken and Pizza. No reservations needed here, and the name says it all. You're driving around, it's hot outside, and the Aruban sun is relentless. You feel like something sweet along with something cool. Linda's Dutch pancake with syrup, and a Heinekin to wash it down. Sound good to you? Thought so!

Have fun and enjoy!
