been to aruba 3 x over the years on new years eve.
2 times we have dined at MJ, the other time we grilled at our resort.
and then watched fireworks (all local folks with their own displays)

my hubby says we watched the LINGS fireworks on nye, but i disagree.
i remember the lings fireworks to be held a night or 2 before new years eve.

i bet Barefoot or Element or Pinchos would be wonderful for a new year dinner.

Reservations.......i would wager they are filling up as i type.

Guess what I'll be doing today!

The last time we were in Aruba for New Year's was 1/1/98. Our daughters were 4 & 5 and we went to Twinkle Bones. remember that place?

Twinklebones. Yes. mediocre food but great entertainment.
In spite of the food we went a few times when our son was young.
    The good old days.

What type of restaurant experience do you want to have? Quiet, rowdy, lots of people or a few intimate diners?

So what are you leaning towards? I would think Windows would be a nice spot for NYE.

We are fine diners. I think we are looking for a great meal near any firework events. Partly noisy but a good meal. Thinking Pinchos.
We love to get all our plans ready. It's so much fun planning and thinking about it.
Love to hear others plans too!!!🎉🎊

Not rowdy inside the restaurant, but not stodgy either. A place that can handle the crowds, as New Years dining can be very disappointing. It would be nice if we could see the fireworks, but I suppose those happen later? Outside with a view of the action would be good.

Party of eight, two adult couples and "children" aged 14-17-21-22.

Love Pinchos, but it's size might make it tough to handle the crowd. Barefoot? Worried about a concert which ruined our last visit. Also, since we'll be staying on Eagle Beach, traffic downtown might be awful. I am somewhat stumped and could default to our old favorite, MJs.

Passions? Has anyone gone there New Year's? Gianni's? Help!!!!!

i suspect that Cindy O is writing independently right now...wonder what she thinks?
