My husband and I spent part of our honeymoon on Aruba almost three years ago. My comments regarding where we ate are as follows:

    We thoroughly enjoyed MJ's.
We were a bit disappointed with Papiamento's.
We were really disappointed with Iguana Joe's.
We had a surprisingly good dinner our first night, at Salt & Pepper.
We had one dinner as part of the Kukoo Kunuku party bus tour. The dinner was okay from what I remember, but the tour was a great time!!

The prices are all around the same price, not a cheap place but the same as many. Check out the menu on the website with prices.

MARANDI'S YOU NEED A RESERVATION!! All the popular restuarants you need a reservation.

Bingo's has always been one of our favorites since it opened - we're "regulars" there when we're in Aruba.

L G Smith's is one of my favorite places to eat.
Matthew's is good for a casual lunch or dinner

I'd put Chalet Suisse. Definitely one of the best meals and most consistent service on the island.

Matthew's Beachside Restaurant - better for breakfast (reg. not buffet)
Passions Beach Bar & Restaurant - romantic, good food, last we went, no bathroom nearby
Yemanja Woodfired Grill - never been
    Pinchos - love this place!
    Gostoso - never been
Marandi - good, we thought overpriced
Marina Pirata - an old favorite with us
The Old Man & the Sea - next on the list to try
Wacky Wahoo - excellent food, strip mall atmosphere
    Cook's Restaurant - fare
    Gasparito
    - always good

In other words, if you could only visit five of the above, where would you go?

I understand that Screaming Eagle & Matilde are supposed to be great, but I think they're probably too pricey.

What were the prices like at Marandi? I think the web-site names some of the dishes, but does not list any prices.

I am glad to hear some positive feedback regarding Marina Pirata. I think it seems like a neat place to eat (on the water, fresh fish, and reasonably priced). However, some of the posts on here have not been too favorable. I actually held off on making my reservation. Anybody else have thoughts on Marina Pirata?
