One Happy Bar - Airport

I just wanted to mention this little spot at the airport because they have some really good sandwiches and hot dogs. None of us like having to get to the aiport 3 hours before a flight but we've found a way to pass the time. We generally have found that we have at least 2 or 2 1/2 hours to kill once going through security so when we happened upon this tiny little bar we were really happy. We grab a sandwich, a glass of wine, relax for a bit and then hit the little slot casino. The time flew. They'll also wrap a sandwich to take on the flight.

and for those that need to smoke a cigarette or 2, this little bar has a tiny area where one can smoke after they purchase a cold or hot beverage.

as a former smoker, i know how incredibly difficult it is to go without from ticketing all the way thru arriving to one's destination.

and, with that little bar's smoking area, it does cut down on those lighting up in the bathrooms!

One Happy Bar is our last stop before we get on the airplane to head home. I love having one more Brite before sitting for 4 plus hours.

We used to stop there until the Old Dutch bar opened up. Like that one better because it's not as packed, quieter, and and more seats at the bar. They also have sandwiches and hot dogs, too.

We may try the Dutch bar next trip. It does look nice and they have considerable more room at the bar. My only difficulty is the smoking. When we were there in April it was just one huge cloud, and since I have asthma I didn't want to take the chance. At One Happy Bar, even though the smokers are close, there is a bit of a barrier and I don't have any problems.

I have asthma, too, and smoke bothers me alot. But at the Old Dutch, if you sit closest to the windows you shouldn't have any problems. They make all of the smokers sit at the opposite end of the bar by the concourse. We've been to this bar several times now and as long as we're at the end by the windows, I'm fine and can't smell anything.
