These without question are our top 5
    ventana's Del Mar
    anna Maria's
    Quinta Del Carmen
    Barefoot
    LGSmith Steakhouse

    Followed by 2nd Tier
    Wacky Wahoo
    Hung Paradise

If we are on the island for 2 weeks we will hit each one of the above, remaining days are filled in with leftovers, appetizer dinners

Silly me, I just said to DH last night, "You know, we don't HAVE to eat out every night when we're in Aruba in April."

    He just laughed.

Only 8 nights and there are many places we'd love to go; along with a couple of our faves.

My 5 (not in any type of order)
    Azzurro (kids fave)
    LG Smith
    Ricardos
    Ruinas del Mar
    Scala

    Madam Janette
    Chalet Suisse
    Gianni's
    Flying Fishbone
    Passions

Can you tell it's mostly about the atmosphere for me? Chalet Suisse is just really good food and within walking distance.

My 2 absolute favorites have closed, unfortunately. They were the Rhumba Wine Bar and Amadeus. In thinking about what my top 5 would be I find it difficult because there have been places I absolutely loved the food but don't see myself going back because the atmosphere wasn't what I was looking for. So I guess my top 5 don't necessary represent the most phenomenal food but rather those places where the food, atmosphere and service came together to make an enjoyable experience. That all said, here are my choices:
    Daniels
    Salt and Pepper
    Matthews
    Sole Mare
    Barneys
I'll throw in Gelaissimo because you have to have something sweet in the early evening.

Peg... I think the balance of those three dimensions is really important. I've had fantastic meals ruined by shoddy service and/or terrible atmosphere. If that list is checking all three boxes for you to some degree, then they're winners.
