    Papiamento or Madame Jeanette

For the last night in Aruba for my girlfriend and I (going to propose at Passions during sunset) was thinking between MJ and Papiamento. I've been to Mjs years ago and friends recommended Papiamento. Are they similar, they both look nice and was wondering between opinions.

Congratulations and good luck! I hope she says "yes"....don't drop the "rock" in the sand!

I recommend Quinta del Carmine over Papiamento (same style of setting) and recommend Papiamento over MJ. Quinta is new (less than a year old). Papiamento and MJs have been around forever, but Papiamento has done a much better job of sustaining quality versus becoming a run of the mill, overpriced tourist-trap (MJ).

We have made Papiamento our final night restaurant for 20 straight years. Never been disappointed. There's something special sitting out by the pool under the stars with those lights twinkling in the trees and the soft music playing in the background...Congratulations!!

    Hope she says yes!
Both Papiamento and Mj are top notch.
You cannot go wrong at either.

Haven't been to Papiamento but their website and Facebook pages make it look appealing. We're fans of Madame Janette. When we were there in May we had an exceptional meal. It was white asparagus season so it was a special treat. I don't think you could go wrong with either restaurant.

The Papiamento website doesn't show the menu, even on the Menu link. But they do tell you what a great menu it is.

Andy, I went to their Facebook page so at least I could see photos of the food. It gives you some idea what to expect

I'm going to throw another wrench in here and recommend "Elements" at Bucuti... Beautiful beach setting, wonderful food and staff.

I've NEVER had a bad meal at MJs. 27 trips to Aruba and MJs at least twice per trip! PM me and I'll get you a good table for the night you need! Papiamento was average when I went years ago. I might need to try it again. But MJs never disappoints.

MJ's has never disappointed my family either. I will say Papiamento does have a more romantic setting by the pool.
